Sixteen teams comprised of players from more than ten broomball organizations in at least eight different states (including D.C.) will descend on the “Flagship City,” Erie, Pennsylvania, for the 2019 edition of the Mid-Atlantic Broomball Tournament.
This year’s tournament is being held on November 2 & 3 at both ice rinks in the ErieBank Sports Park, hosted by the Pittsburgh Broomball Club with major help from the Erie Sports Commission. The men’s tournament is in its third year, and this year will award the first women’s champion.
As has been the case each year, the tournament will feature perhaps the best collection of East Coast broomball players you’ll see all year, save for the National Championships. Last year’s men’s champion, the New Jersey Saints, could not assemble in full to try for the three-peat at Mid-Atlantic, but the tournament will still feature a plethora of talented teams from up and down the eastern part of the United States, as well as an appearance by the Minnesota Women’s Broomball Program.
Keep tuned to Broomball Central LIVE for live streams of games on both Saturday and Sunday, and head over to pittsburghbroomball.org to track live scores and results from the action in Erie. The women’s final is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EST, the men’s B final is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST, and the men’s A final will conclude the tourney at approximately 3:00 p.m. EST.
